A Little Hiker's Trip to Crystal Lake

HJ, is Joyce ever the cutest thing! She's so photogenic.

I'm glad you're giving her a taste of the great outdoors. When I take my grandkids out in the boonies they always find a favorite stick or get intrigued by some bug or ant hill - every little thing seems to get their attention.

It makes my wife nuts because I let Joyce play with sticks and dirt, but I think it's good for her.

There was a study done by a univeristy in England or France that showed that children that did not play in dirt enough were at an extremely high risk of getting "Crones or Diverticulitis", so playing in the dirt is good for your children , some therapies for this disease in adulthood was to introduce "worms" (not kidding) into the person suffering from the disease to make up for the lack of exposure as a child I'm so glad my parents let me go play in the mud

Now you are talking (as you said she is). what stove shall we bring with us? 23k is kinda high so i will leave it to the expert. i wont let baby joyce carry the matches and/or the gas. by next year she will be strong enough to carry the tent for sure.....LOL

As for Joyce, we've still got to work on finding tiny crampons. And a "Hello Kitty" ice axe.
