Anyone here ever do the North Loop on Mt. Charleston?

Southern California and far-away places. Hiking, wildlife, cycling etc.

You are all the best! There is a ton of snow on Charleston, so I spent the day playing in Red Rock. It's incredible, and I still have two moredays to explore. I did Turtle's Head today, which is like a mini Skyline, only steeper and with more shortcuts. I spoke with a ranger, and there is a hidden area that has excellent petroglyphs that I hope to go find tomorrow. It's out of the main canyon, actually over off the road to Pahrump.....so, how does a girl earn a living in a town like that? Anyway, I'm hoping to post some excellent pics if I can find the site. Talk to you all soon.

Zip,

If it's helpful, that site I told you about, http://www.hikinglasvegas.com has info on all of the areas around Las Vegas, not just the Spring Mountains where Mt. Charleston is. Sounds like you're doing just fine though.
