Howdy Norma :)

Thanks so much for your kind words -- they mean a lot coming from a woman who I greatly admire 8)

I appreciate your trip suggestions. I will definately be back to attempt a winter MR summit.

I still want to do the PCT > Fuller Ridge > summit > tram with you this fall. Snow Creek is calling us as well.

Howdy Jim,

You're right about the pack, especially on the E-ledges. The trip definately kicked by butt.

Based on my misadventures (falling into the cactus on Skyline in 2007, demonic cougar attack on Tamarack in 2007, injury and rescue in 2008, recent bushwacking on Jo Pond, and bowel explosion on Whitney MR) -- I could have my pick of numerous unflattering nicknames

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Ellen... you rock. After donating blood one weekend on the Jo Pond, the very next you're out using one of God's nicest restrooms in the world. Very nice, and I think everyone on this blog is a little envious. Don't sweat not making the peak. With your determination, you'll do it. Besides, I think the view from Iceburg Lake is more awesome than the one from the top of Whitney anyway.
Sincerely
Skunk
