glad to see you're one of those reckless drivers, taking photos while on the highway. very irresponsible

Fight On,

I was up there yesterday as well although not 3X! That picture of the guy with the baby - horrible idea. What were those parents thinking? Unbelievable. Looks like you had a good trip(s)!

I know! unbelievable. It was just too hot yesterday. He was on the ridge after you get out of the bowl. The first time I saw him was near the Ski hut and thought that was as far as he was going. Crazy.
I also saw another couple walking up the paved section toward the waterfall.
The husband was carrying the baby in one of those packs in front of him. No shade! (at least the pictured baby had some shade) This baby was crying. I said don't you think it's a little hot out here for your baby? The guy says real quick no. I guess he just HAD to go and see the waterfall with his wife. Who cares if the kid fries.
So you were up there huh? what trail did you go?

nice pics...kinda weird it took you three times up to get some of them, but nice just the same. The Heeler reminded me of when Tina and I had gone up there a month or so ago, we were coming down on the stretch before the gate and somebody had givin up trying to talk their 400 pound, 1 foot tall bulldog to make it on his own down the road. The thing sat and absolutely would not move, the guy finally had to pick this thing up and carry it. Carrying a small elephant would have been easier. One of the reason you always should have a camera with you.
Nice TR but you were missed at the gathering..(and talked about  )

Hey! what are you saying?? Every time I tried to take a picture I had to take the batteries out because it wouldn't work. My Nikon d70 is broke so I used a different one. what a pain. I was lucky it worked for those sheep although I would have taken a billion more if I had my nikon. :D

 small elephant. I know you got to have a camera, you never know I agree.
I know what it's like to carry a big dog. I hiked up the Bear Flat trail with my sister and her black lab I think last year. On the way down the Backbone trail it just sat down and wouldn't go on. Her paws were too sore. What are ya gonna do? I mean try walking over seven miles bare foot! So I carried her the last mile and a half. that was hard.
That heeler, I think she said it was a mix, Australian sheep dog and blue heeler. :? I thought a blue heeler was an Australian sheep dog... :?

Fight On,

I took the backbone trail from the Baldy Notch. I think I will have to try it your way next time. The $18 RT ticket on the ski lift is ridiculous!! :x My TR is here.
