 Liking the wag bag humor.

Neat area. Brings back a lot of good memories from my 2009 and other trips. Been through Big Arroyo three different times, and the mosquitoes are fierce there!

Yeah, it was pretty funny, especially at the time.

Big Arroyo - what were the trips/routes that you took there?

I've done several including a modified HST; we came out at Horseshoe Meadows instead of Whitney.

My most recent was a 5 day loop out of Mineral King. Mineral King - Timber Gap - Redwood Meadows - Bearpaw Meadow - Hamilton Lakes - Kaweah Gap - Big Arroyo - Little Five Lakes XC to Big Five Lakes - out over Sawtooth Pass back to Mineral King. Neat loop.

Hi Chevy. You and Sally are killing me with all this talk and the tantalizing pics of Precipice Lake. Congrats on a successful trip. I think I just might have to try this one out next summer. Thanks for the cool TR.

I remember crossing the Big Arroyo on a trip from Mineral King to climb the three Kaweahs. It can be a challenging stream crossing.

Yeah. I got wet there one cold, gray spring day. There was still a lot of snow on the ground that year. Brr.

Last time through there, 2005, it was a cinch.
