Article on the KCET site written by a friend of mine about hiking, or rather not hiking, on the desert in summer. I wonder if a sign similar to the one shown in the article would help at Skyline trailheads ..

You aren't trying to spoil my next Anza-Borrego adventure are you?

I would guess Death Valley to be more extreme than the Grand Canyon. Sad about the actor/fighter, that's a tough way to go out.
