Now that I finally made time to read your entertaining and informative Trip Report, I want to comment on some highlights:

Eric TR2013

This receding shoreline shows what a dry year 2013 has been.

Great shot of Paiute Crags

Stock trails vs. hiker trails:
- stock has deeper stream crossings, dung, mule trenches and more biting insects.
- Hiker may be longer, but is generally easier and more scenic


Using lupines really emphasized the eerie color of Moonlight Lake. Anybody know which elements do that?

I like the breakaway in the tarn as the day heated up

That ridge between Haeckel & Darwin looked like pure scree [shudders].

“Picture”-esque indeed!
