High Sierra Trail

I just got back from the High Sierra Trail (Crescent Meadow-Whitney Portal.) Since I've done the entire JMT, I may have a slightly skewed perspective...but I thought this trail was easy and not terribly scenic. Don't get me wrong, there were some lovely spots, but my jaw never hit the ground the way it does farther north in the Sierra. It was still a darn fun trip! Stood alone on a mountain top, starin' out at the great divide. I could go east, I could go west. It was all up to me to decide.

Glad to hear you folks had a nice trip. The photos of the area look great. Maybe you have been spoiled by the JMT.
