Went and did Mount Langley in southern Sierras on Tuesday, August 4.

Hal, How many hours did it take you from start to finish?

Great pictures. Nice work. :D

Doesn't look to me like Old Army Pass has that much snow, two years ago there was three times as much. :o

Going up next weekend to do Whitney, thought I might grab Langley couple days before.

It took us about 13 hours RT. I think that solo I could do it in around 8-9. Carl, at age 73, is tough as nails but with 2 knee replacements is not a fast as he was when he was merely in his 60s, especially going downhill.

I think it's harder than Whitney. The first part is easy but when you get to the end of the lakes and start climbing to either New or Old Army Pass it gets tougher. It's not technical but more like walking uphill on a sand dune.
