So you took your sunglasses off, then stepped on em, ? , Were you hiking? or just standing there?
You had to be hiking right? Cuz if you were standing there, how did it get under your foot? Maybe you thought it was a rattler and then stomped on em! That's it!! If I thought my sunglasses were a snake, I'd a done the same thing! FIGHT ON super detective at your service!

Same thing happened to me! I think they do that on purpose. Try to make it impossible so that you have to send it in to the shop! They will do Anything to make money! They should make em so you can't cut em with scissors. oh. they might be reading this. shhhhh!

...looks like I just moved all the noise from one spot to another. maybe one of the scopes would be worth it.

you gotta put one or two drops of that stuff on it then start at one side and drag it all the way across without stopping. then do it the other direction. How many times did you do it? How many swabs left? Maybe you used dirty scissors to cut the swab and put more dust on it. you gotta pretend you are in an operating room like a doctor dude! You can't use contaminated scissors! Now you gotta real sick camera! Better look at that video again.

yea, I think my problem was I didn't do it firm enough. I was a little too gentle. it was hard to tell exactly how much pressure I was exerting on the sensor plus I need to make the next swap a little more narrow still. I don't think contaminating the swap was my problem. I was just chicken the first time. Now I feel a little better about doing it.

When I clean my sunglasses I have this little brush, real fine bristles, that I dust them off with before I clean them.
I used to just use them swabs alone but now I use that blower thing first. Rocket Blower.
Turn the camera so the bomb bay door thing is facing down and give it a few blasts. Supposed to dislodge a lot if not all the stuff.
Then check it. It may have worked.
The idea is to avoid touching it unless you have to.
The thought of scraping boulders across the surface of a sensor gives me the willies.
