Lost Palm Oasis, JTNP

Postby KathyW » Sun Mar 08, 2009 8:32 am

On Friday I went out to Joshua Tree NP. I hiked from Cottonwood Springs to Lost Palm Oasis and then on to Victory Palms. On my way back to Cottonwood Springs, I did the Mastadon Peak Loop. I was hoping to see lots of wildflowers, but there were not many to be found. Even without a profusion of wildflowers, it was really beautiful out there - the Lost Palm Oasis is a beautiful spot.

Some pics I took:

Wow. You're right. Even with scant vegetation, that area is beautiful. I really need to get out and explore the desert more. I jsut wish it was closer to Seal Beach.
