Thanks for this interesting story. This guy is doing what a lot of us would like to do - living his dream. I hope his wife didn't shout "Go take a hike" :)

What fun to see Billy Goat on the cover of the LA Times, and then have him show up for dinner three days later. He's a great guy and knows the PCT as well as anyone, including the guidebook authors.
