I recently moved from Palm Springs to Seattle. I know I'm really going to miss San Jacinto. Does anyone know of any good hikes near Seattle? I can't wait to get out and hit the trails.

Thanks,
Mike Foley

I hear there's a nice stroll in the park nearby. You start at Paradise and head uphill... :D

IF that's the trail I'm thinking of, there's always a bit of moisture on the ground that makes the footing a little akward. Also a good idea to bring a jacket and a few snacks. And bring your camera - the views are pretty impressive!

It is oddly enough called the "Skyline Trail" in the beginning.

reverse website of sorts, since training in seattle to climb C2C... so in seattle area (now)

Tiger mtn; 6mi rt, 2000 foot vert
Mt Si; 8 mi rt, 3300 foot vert (snow near top)
Paradise to Camp Muir; 10 mi rt, 5000 vert. need snow boots, good nav ability, at least 10 essentials.

Problem today is 580 inches of snow in the mtns means anything higher than 3000 ft has lots of snow.....of course will change by june/july..
