It's not a halo unless it's 360 degrees. :D

JIM? I'm not that Jennifer. you guys are thinking too much. If someone would tell me how to post pics ,I would show some of my hikes. Unlike that fake jennifer. anyone that makes stupid comments about the c2c trail not being hard or cool or what ever he said is not being sincere. you can think what ever you want but im not that person.

I'd love to see some pictures of your gabrielino trail hike, considering I am planning on hiking it soon. And to stay somewhat on topic...I'd especially be interested in what you carried for food and drink and what you would do differently, if anything.

Easiest way is to post your pictures to a free Flickr account and post a link to the pictures here. Thanks in advance.

I have only been hiking for a year so I am no expert at all. Ever ate at the Oinkster? SLOW FAST FOOD. It's on Colorado Blvd in Eagle Rock just west of Tommys on the north side of the street. They have the best burgers. I carried one of those that I bought the day before. Two pbjs. a banana and three bladders full of clean arrowhead mountain spring water laced with gookinaid. almost three gallons. I was going to try rabbit peak but nobody would go with me that I know. So I did that hike instead. Flickr? Ill look

Before this thread gets too far 'off route', can we get back to "Trail Food" for a moment?

One thing not mentioned above is you've got to be in shape to take advantage of all this nutrition stuff. If your primary exercise is channel surfing, don't expect any gels, drinks, pills (or should I say 'supplements?') to get you going any faster, farther, or higher. The better shape you're in, the faster (or easier) your hike will be, the more ground you'll be able to cover, and the quicker you'll be able to recover.

We now return you to your normal posting . . . .

1. Go to the photo page.

2. Click on "All sizes."

3. Select the Medium photo size.

4. Now you have some choices. The easiest way is to copy and paste the URL near the bottom in the box, and bracket it with img tags:

Code: Select all
[img]http://farm1.static.flickr.com/182/367544491_b662995a52.jpg[/img]

That gives you something like this:

But if you want to link your photo back to the Flickr photo page so people can click on it and see a higher resolution view if they want, it gets more complicated. You have to use both url and img tags, and use the URLs in the first box near the bottom, which looks like this:

Code: Select all
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/simonov/367544491/"
 title="The Machine by simonov, on Flickr"><img
src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/182/367544491_b662995a52.jpg"
width="500" height="375" alt="The Machine" /></a>

You would edit that mess so it looks like this:

Code: Select all
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/simonov/367544491/]
[img]http://farm1.static.flickr.com/182/367544491_b662995a52.jpg[/img][/url]

(except it has to be all on one line)

Resulting in something like this (click on the photo to be taken to the Flickr photo page):

Experiment using the preview button on the Post a Reply screen.

5. Alternatively, you could just put all the photos from your hike into a group, click on the group icon, then copy the group URL from your address bar and paste it here, like this:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/simonov/se ... 235357651/

Think that's it.
Thanks simonov!
Except they are out of order.
How do I put them in order?
