China has closed the north side uf Everest at this politically sensitive time, and there are fears that Nepal could do the same thing.

There goes my day hike up Everest this Sunday
Guess I'll go out into our own deserts here and launch rockets and photograph flowers. Totally made in America rockets...can't say the same about my digital camera (made in Japan but Chinese parts?).

I had better not politicize this thread...boycott Chinese products, REI goes out of business, China doesn't need as much oil, gas prices here go down, we can go on more hikes, our workers get more manufacturing jobs, Tibet gets their country back, Americans want less expensive products, more jobs in Mexico, migration reverses, Mexico needs more oil, gas prices go back up, no wait, Mexico goes solar and global warming (if there is such a thing) ends...the possibilities are endless. Dream on.
