Howdy Hiking Jim :D

Hikin_Jim wrote: I listed Ellen as my emergency contact and posted the summit hut as her address. Does anyone know the phone number at the hut? I'll need that to finish my registration ...

I'm not giving out the phone number for the summit hut until I finish making the curtains and complete the spring cleaning

lol!

That old US Army sleeping bag is a little drab ... maybe some nice spring colors?

A few flowers, and that hut will be up to speed in no time.

Price Drop on ACR Aquafix w/GPS

Postby MikeCaAlaska » Thu Jun 19, 2008 12:49 pm

I was in the Anchorage REI a couple of weeks ago and saw that ACR had introduced their MicroFix 406 PLB - looked at the Aquafix and Microfix both side by side and the new model is a bit lighter and more compact but in the $700 price range. Both have the same features. I Googled ACR Aquafix today and saw a few adds that were in the $399 price range with the onboard GPS - good time for me to order one.
