Long, but fast hike

Postby Snowhiker » Sun Jan 06, 2008 2:28 am

The way things have been going for me lately, I'll be lucky to backpack 600 miles the rest of my life, let alone 6000+ in 1/2 a year.

That uber hike is a great accomplishment.

Now he should RELAX and take 1000, 6 mile hikes SLOWLY and enjoy the view.

Wow!

Seldom do I feel like another 30 miler the day after. I can't even imagine what a couple hundred back to back must be like.

I think I'll stick with the old 10, thanks. :)

Must be in amazing shape and really know how to pack ultra light.

I'd love to leave that departure message..."Going out for a walk...Be back in 200 plus days."

I e mailed Andy to find out what his total elevation gain was, and he replied that he did not know. He estimated that if he did 150 feet per mile, it would be over 1 million feet gain, or climbing Everest every other week (minus the thin air) - Cool
