New to Site

Hey everyone,

I found this site somehow the other day and have become hooked. I think I've read almost every post (even went to the RMR page and read all their news updates).

My buddy and I drove up from SD to Idyllwild over the w'end and hiked to Suicide Rock (late start on Sat) and the next morning to Tahquitz. First time on the SJMtns....and it was terrific. It was a bit depressing to see all the dead trees on deer springs though. Looks like a lot of them didn't make it through the drought, I suppose?

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you to everyone (especially HJ) for all the great info and resources to be found on this site. I'm really enjoying reading everyone's stories and tips and I look forward to using the info to plan my next trip up (soon, I hope).

Welcome Mark!

This place is a haven for nature lovers. You have mountains, deserts, canyons, and more to explore - the opportunities are almost endless.

Thanks for reading the RMRU updates also!
