Here's a slow reply, Ellen. Hope you and others enjoy some more photos. She is developing her own personality now.

We finally figured out a good sleeping arrangement. There's not much room for us on the bed, but she's unlikely to roll over, we can't roll over on her either, and she gets to be with us.

A meet up before mid-June would work for us. That's when Crystal goes back to work. After that, we won't have time for anything. How does a Guadalupe Trail hike and lunch at Las Casuelas (La Quinta) sound? There's also some shorter trails in La Quinta.

Coming up on 3 months already! How's Lily? How are you and Crystal doing on sleep? I assume Lily has staked out her space on your chest and in mom's arms, just not in the bassinet? 8) Hope all three of you are having fun.

We've been playing this a lot:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQUjMtQRUbg
Lots of crying but it's slowly getting better. There's moments when I can't even think straight enough to type an email or finish a small task.

She gets bored easily and needs entertainment. We will often hold her while bouncing up and down and walk around, or put her in the stroller and move it back and forth or spin in circles. Sometimes a video will keep her occupied for a limited period of time. Maybe you know of some good toys?

The bassinet...We moved her pillow arrangement into the bassinet (big Graco one), but as far as leaving her on the bassinet surface....only for brief periods of time like tummy time, but after awhile she'll fuss. I don't blame her because the firm surface doesn't feel too comfortable.

She really likes to laugh, socialize with her own sounds, and kicks, grabs things, puts everything in her mouth. She can say "mom" and working on trying to say "duck" (her favorite toy).

Lily turned "a half" last weekend. :D

She loves Blue's Room and these cartoons that some guy on YouTube made:

6 months already! The time is going to fly from here, just ask HJ. From the time they start talking until they hit about 10 or 11 they are nothing but joy. After that, um..., well, let's just stick to the immediate future, shall we? Anyway, happy 1/2 day to little Lily.

BTW Perry, do you two have a baby jogger type of stroller? I had more fun on runs like that with my kids than I had ever imagined. We'd go out in all sorts of places and during wind and rain and snow...If you don't have one she's at the age where it would be tons of fun for both of you. Of course, at 6 months it just puts them to sleep, but even that can come in very handy.
