- If anyone wants to see the art gallery where Perry spends a few hours, it is in the Carls Jr. shopping center not far from the tram road. Its called M Modern Art Gallery or something similar. 2500 N Palm Canyon Rd. 760 416 3611
Perry - A guy called Steve Del Toro from Australia called me and asked who holds the record for running up Cactus to Clouds. I think he wants to challenge your time. He said that he holds a silver medalist record for running up the tram road. His website is http://www.stevedeltoro.com 760 969 3721

E-gads! Freakin' Skyline is getting absurd amounts of publicity. People are coming all the way from Australia to try to set new times?! Cy is getting calls from Germany and Canada!? Oh my goodness. LOL :D

I'm going to start selling T shirts that say: "Skyline Finisher."

For those who don't quite make it, I'm going to create a different T shirt: "Better No Skyline Than to Flatline" :)

We probably need a separate thread for T-shirt suggestions. I assume that the goal is to make the hike unattractive, in order to keep the crowds down.

"I had to be airlifted off Skyline and all I got was this T-shirt."

"I came from Australia to hike Skyline and they handed me the SAR bill."

"Life is nasty, brutish and short. Skyline is nasty, brutish and long."

"If I owned Skyline and Hell, I'd rent out Skyline and hike in Hell." (With apologies to Gen. Sheridan, who said "If I owned Texas and Hell, I would rent Texas and live in Hell.")

That funny Alan  This message board is becoming so popular, it should have its own tee shirt or bumper sticker like Summitpost.

Cy, I think he would have a hard time beating me. I just bagged 3 14'ers in Colorado, and I'm doing another tomorrow. No cell phone reception (Cingular/ATT) here in Leadville, so I'm almost cut off from civilization, but it's really nice here! You would like this area a lot.

VERY cool. Which 14ers? I was out there in July and did a beautiful backpack in Rocky Mtn Natl Park (I think you saw the pictures I posted). Absolutely gorgeous spot to hike.

I agree with you Perry. No one can imagine the Skyline terrain until they have been on it. :)
