yep! in theory someone could paint fractals, but i've never seen that done. or if you mean the design itself: human designed v. computer. that is a julia set which is mathematically based, i experimented with parameters and colors. there are fractals that are predictable and designed by the human mind but illustrated via computer. for example the koch snowflake.
