Thank you so much for sacrificing your quads and hiking the 9 peaks with me 
I couldn't ask for a better birthday present than spending the day in the mountains with you, Z-DUDE, Lance, and Greg. It was also really sweet of you to carry the Fat Tire beer all the way to west San Bernardino peak.

Yeah, that does sound like fun. Just the 3 friends. Nobody else on the mountain...nobody near...no other friends hiking with you in the dark...

I'm going to use the excuse that being another year older affected my cerebral function when I posted yesterday 
Perhaps I can also claim delayed hypoxia from the 9 Peak Challenge.
Special thanks go to Z for leading us up Vivian in the dark -- I don't function well at 3 AM and his company was greatly appreciated
I had a lecture in Westlake yesterday and took the 210 (Foothill Freeway). The San Gabriels were very smoky and we occasionally saw flames. My heart goes out to those affected by the fires.
