My constant companion
My shadow.

He was always happy to see me.

He was always happy to follow along
or sometimes lead.

He would have followed me anywhere.
Now I shall have to follow him.
Someday.

I will miss you, good buddy.

Sorry about your loss, it's amazing how close you can get to those guys. I have three dogs and two kids and I only bother putting identification on my dogs.

I shed a tear for you thinking about my old buddy, Shasta, who hiked with me for years and was my constant companion.

The Bible says a good man is kind to his beast and I think you can tell something about the character of a person by his love for animals.
