I'm just really very impressed with this book. Best trail book I've seen. This guy is thorough, concise and up to date.

I don't know about that particular title or its author, but the first in the "Afoot and Afield" series was "in San Diego County" by Jerry Schad, first published years ago and updated several times. The Schad book is considered by many to be the "best" hiking guide to San Diego County.
