I am thinking of hiking Grand canyon south rim-to-north rim on memorial day weekend.
There doesn't seem to be any rooms left at the grand canyon north rim lodge. Any ideas on near by accommodations except the campground? (I don't want to carry my sleeping bag - want to keep my pack as light as possible)
In worst case, I might turn-around from phantom ranch. Is that a good enough hike? After all, if I am going to drive all the way, I better break some sweat
