Looking for ideas for an overnight

Looking for an overnight trip idea. We are good for 8-9 miles, 2500' elev. gain. No crampons or ice axes. Thinking of Tahquitz Peak via Devils' Slide. Is this feasible?

Also we see comments and pix about Skyline Trail, but do not know where this is

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Dave

Don't do the Skyline Trail yet, Unless you have all the gear to deal with snow an ice. Still dangerous especially if it's your first time up it.
It also has a little bit more elevation gain too. Like 8k or so. in around 10 or 11 miles.

Yes, Hopefully someone who is familiar with other hikes/areas and conditions will see your post in time before you go.

We gave up on the overnight and made a day trip on the Devil's Slide trail, looking for potential future campsite for a two-day trip. The goal was Tahquitz L/O.

Beautiful trip, but too much snow! Could not find trail to the L/O which takes off south of the Saddle. Great fun, we'll be back
