Mt. San Jacinto Outdoor Recreation

i am new to the valley and was looking for the hot springs around the area, i went to deep creek and it was just beautiful, but we went in January and there was floating ice in the river we had to cross~didn't know i had to cross and icicle! but we really enjoyed the therapy and deep creek. so... whats the story about lakeview hot springs? is it just a name like the other "hot springs" around san jacinto or was there something there before?

I'm not aware of any hot springs in the backcountry in the San Jacinto mountains. This site http://deepcreekhotsprings.net/dchs/showhs.php lists one hot springs in the San Jacinto area, but it is in a populated area.
