Skyline trail on Nov 11th

Postby Cy Kaicener » Sat Nov 11, 2006 1:53 pm

Chris and John left the museum with me at 12.15 am together with about 20 people from the Sierra Club. It was the first time for both of them and I would like to thank them for making it up to the tram in good time, and for being great company. We saw a beautiful sunrise at Flatrock at 6 am, but it was bitterly cold. I had to keep my hands in my pockets. We got up to the tram at the same time as the fast group of the Sierra Club, but they went on to do the peak. It was very windy at Long Valley. We had a good day.

Hi,
Just wondering why someone would have to place a series of orange ribbons on the 1st couple miles of the trail.
If people can't find their way on this trail, as well traveled & defined as it is, please refrain from polluting it or using it.

Trails should be hiked, not munipulated & trashed.

I agree. I hope they dont start selling T shirts that say "I hiked the Cactus to Clouds trail". Its a good thing its not a nationally recognised and sanctioned trail.
