Gear Reccomendations for Tram to Peak Hike, Sat. May 18th

Hi,
Does anyone have any recommendations for gear for a hike this Saturday?
I do not want to use any Picks or crampons. Is this wise?

Hi. check the board out - you should be able to make it to above Wellman's without any problem without any snow gear. I was up last weekend and from Long to Round Valley was clear of snow except of occasional patches - from Round valley to Wellman's there were snowy patches but not that bad. Only went to Wellman's. Off to AK next week to check out conditions for Crow Pass to Raven glacier and beyond - egad getting away from the sun for a few days
