4 of us skied from the tram Sun. morning. We used the Hidden Divide Tr. with climbing skins. The snow was hard, and icy in spots. Climbing skins were essential. We nearly reached Tamarack Valley by 1PM, but the snow was not softening, and the wind was picking up.
We retraced our route to the tram, mainly using the side slip technique. Telemark turns worked where the sun was still shining. We all had plastic tele boots and metal edged skis. Leather boots would have been much more difficult to control.
Not a perfect day, but definitely a fun day.
