Help with hiking the Skyline Trail

Postby bytebit » Tue Sep 26, 2023 2:16 pm

Hi there. I'm David Stewart and have hiked up the Skyline Trail 74 times and did C2C once.
Currently, I'm not hiking much due to an injury. However, I know of a fine lady and a good hiker who would like to go with someone who has already hiked up the Skyline Trail. If you or someone you know who is qualified that she can go with--maybe this weekend? Weather should be nice. She is a member of the CVHC. Her name / email address is Lise Piche - lpmoor@gmail.com -- Thanks for your assistance. David

We are going towards the end of October. This board has been quiet. Has people been doing Skyline? It seems like its been cooler and maybe groups have been doing it already.

I was talking on the phone with a tram employee a few minutes ago and she said she heard the Skyline Trail had been closed due to heat and frequent rescues. Can anyone confirm if a closed sign is currently posted? Thanks!
