Black Mountain Forest Rte 4S01 Open? Fuller Ridge, etc..

Hi All,

Been spending a lot of time around Fuller Ridge and Black Mtn hiking, camping, mt biking and bouldering.

Likely the road open but when I asked the ranger up there 2 weeks ago how find out the current 411, he said check the web page. Which is never up to date.

Any advice? The local ranger station never answers their phone, no?

Black Mtn road is closed for the season as are the Black Mtn and Tahquitz Peak fire lookouts.

Do you know this for a fact? Yes I know Boulder Basin Rd/ closed 2 weeks ago, but isn't the main road typically kept open later in the season? Thnx.

I checked with the Black Mtn tower leader and he confirmed closed for season. Also per this webpage..

The Black Mtn trail is open if you want to hike up.
