Chance of New Trails in PS?

Postby Plante » Wed Apr 08, 2020 8:21 am

I kind of know the answer to this as I write it, but hey, one can still dream. What are the chances that new trails could be blazed in Palm Springs? I'm thinking a trail parallel to South Lykken, but higher in elevation, so you could start in Little Tuscany, up to the Museum picnic tables, up the Skyline a little but, then south, with a heavy-duty suspension bridge over the Tahquitz, then on down to ultimately meet the South Lykken picnic tables. In this time when liability runs (ruins?) everything, this is beyond a long shot, plus there are land ownership issues, but looking past that, wouldn't that be a nice trail?

A new trail would be nice. For years, it has seemed that closures and restrictions have become the norms.

Bikeways would also be nice.
