Birthday Hike

Howdy All

On my birthday (Sept 1), Sister Sally, Miracle Marilyn and I hiked to the peak named in my honor.

Not only did my friends hike with me on my birthday (best possible present), they threw me a party complete with chocolate cake I confess that I got a bit teary when I read the comments in the peak register.

I'm late posting this due to being in the bunker (chained to my computer) updating a book chapter and putting together a new Power Point talk.

Thanks Sally and Marilyn for being such amazing friends.

Well, happy birthday, Ellen, from one of the "crew" who participated in the original christening of Mt. Saint Ellens. Have to say it's a LOT easier to find the true summit in clear weather than in a lightning storm.
