Helicopter circling Round Valley on the evening of 6/20

I spent Friday night, 6/20 in Round Valley. At about 9:30 PM a helicopter did 2 or 3 circles around Round Valley with its spotlight on. Does anybody know what was going on? Training maybe?

Hi,
2 boyscouts got separated from their group, and RMRU & other SAR's were able to locate them, with all the high-tech night vision eqpmt they have on the chopper.
I'm sure the scout masters were not too happy!
Boys will be boys I guess.
Luckily, it wasn't too cold.

lol. Doing dumb things as a kid and surviving produces the best adult hikers (assuming they've got any sense at all).

We headed up Devils Slide Friday evening and saw 2 sheriff vehicles in the lot, the sheriff asked us to keep an eye out for 2 scouts. Even though they had their 10 essentials, someone in their troop called 911, which called out the helicopter. I think they met up with them near Saddle Junction. We saw 3 RMRU heading down the trail a mile from the junction. They hike REALLY fast!
