Thanks for a detailed post. Your post really helps a lot. I am planning to hike marion again this week. Wondering how the trail will look from the storm on Saturday. Last I went was last month? It was packed with snow and I love the snow. However i had no garmin and really didnt plan. yikes! lost the trail in the snow 453 ft of the way. Also started really late to hike.
