Marion Mtn TH access?

Is the gate open in road up to the Marion Mtn TH on the west side of Jacinto?

Yes, although the road to the campground is closed.

I was up there yesterday and to my surprise the road to the trailhead and campground were open. I think the road was closed late last year, but has been re-opened.
