Leaving a car near tram

Postby Dizzy » Fri Oct 11, 2013 10:47 am

Is the road to tram open at night and is it possible to leave a car there around 4:00 am, so we don't need to hitch a ride or use taxi after Skyline?

Do we need micro spikes for Sunday? or snow/ice should be gone by that time?

Thanks,
Alex

Howdy Dizzy :)

The gate to the tram doesn't open until 5:30 AM on weekends. I believe it is possible to leave a car at the bottom of the road. I've been ousted from parking in the visitor center lot and moved to the side of the road.

A bunch of us are heading up tomorrow. I'll post regarding where the snow starts and whether microspikes are needed. I'm taking mine just in case.

Miles of smiles,

They lock the tram road at night. I'm not sure what hours. As I recall it opens pretty early.

You could place a car there the prior day of course, but that's pretty inconvenient if you're not a local. Why don't you call them at (760) 325-1449 and ask?

Please let us know what you find out.

I saw this elsewhere on this forum:
the tram parking lot doesn't open until 5:30

I have no idea if it's up-to-date. I'd call the tram.
