Cactus Springs Trail (Guadalupe-Martinez Canyon): GPS file?

Hello All,

I'm trying to find GPS or GIS file(s) for the complete Cactus Spring Trail. Currently, I have multiple files from the western trailhead through to the Guadalupe Trail, as well as the entire Martinez Canyon Trail (which abuts the CS Trail to the east).

However, I have only found one file (from Afoot & Afield) that contains the eastern ~half of the Cactus Springs Trail (Guadalupe Trail to Martinez Canyon Trail). This file is noticeably inaccurate in multiple sections (i.e., waypoints taken too infrequently = long straight lines) and most sections do not seem to overlap any sign of trail (when comparing against aerial photos).

I have heard that this section is rarely hiked and there may be a number of different ways to get from GT to MC on the Cactus Spring Trail. However, I would be far more comfortable if I could find at least one additional file for comparison.

Can you please let me know if you have this section (or link to such a file on the web)? Thank you very much for your time and help,

I have both TOPO and GPX files of the Guadalupe and Cactus Spring Trails from La Quinta to Pinyon Pines. I don't have the Martinez Canyon Section (Valerie to the junction of the Cactus Springs Trail), but I hope to get that this winter sometime.

the boohoff/guadalupe/cs route is way more traveled now than even a couple years ago, its amazingly easy to follow now.

as for the Martinez canyon trip, i doubt that will ever get enough use to get worn in, but its one of the funnest trips i know of.
