Abe Lincoln on old map

I was browsing the 1885-1915 map layer on caltopo.com in the Palm Springs area and noticed the words Abe Lincoln by a spot elevation on the ridge between Tahchevah Creek and Tahquitz Creek. It shows the elevation as 3830 on the old map. It looks to be in the same place as Pt. 3808 on the current topo.

Anyone ever been up that ridge? Any idea on the best way to access that area? It looks like that section is national forest, but most of the adjacent sections are part of the reservation.

Can't say I've been to the spot, but the rocks form a profile view that looks rather like Lincoln from downtown Palm Springs.

You can see Abe when you're across the street from the Hyatt. It's the ridge east of the picnic tables on the museum trail.

Lincoln Peak is best reached from the Skyline.
