While on the skyline today for our 3rd training day within a 3 week period, we achieved our goal today of over 5000 feet.

Up in the area, I noticed a large blackish rock with faint wording on it......looks like it read PALM SPRINGS 5 MILES? Does anyone know about this rock, I've not seen it mentioned on some of the blogs we have read.

That's what we nick named it also............I did some research last night and the faded sign read PALM SPRINGS 5 miles, this man said in his you tube video.

Yep, a "do-gooder" came to town a couple a year's ago to clean up the trail, covered up a genuine Peice of history.
