Museum parking Saturday

Heads-up to anyone planning to hike the Skyline this coming Saturday that the museum's north parking lot will be closed. Street parking may be limited as well.

Street parking will certainly be limited this Sat in the early am, since there is going to be a 6K run/walk.

Is this the area where celfone's are spelled Cell Phones and you must carry one of three devices or you are an idiot and cannot park at the museum's north parking lot - just want to make sure, because two tourists got lost in one of the canyons and now everyone is mispelling celfone which is risking all life in the wilderness

If you have to park as far as Starbucks, I recommend hiring a guide to get you to the trailhead safely. After all, these electronic devices could, at any moment, be disabled by a solar storm and you could find yourself succumbing to the elements before you could find shelter. Well, I guess not. You could probably safely find your way under Marilyn Monroe's skirt. That should at least keep you out of the deadly rain storms that Palm Springs experiences on a regular basis. Whatever you do, just don't try to find your way to a grocery store without all 3 devices! That will apparently lead to a grisly, painful death!

Heh. This from a man who skirts danger in real life 1000x more than DPH knows.

(and who would neither fail to summit nor be scared of Paso Picacho, whether our own local version or the one twenty miles from Coolidge AZ and DPH.)

Say, I wonder if there is a subset on WAAS-enabled GPS (or a celphone app ;) for WAG.
