Snowshoeing to the San J summit

Postby Kathryn61 » Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:23 am

We tramshoed up to the San J summit Saturday. I'm sure Ellen will provide a more detailed TR. We spent much of the day in white out conditions and temps as low as 5 below with wind chill. But the views were spectacular from Tamarack Valley up to the summit due to tons of rime ice. I'm guessing we had 1-2 feet of fresh powder.

Here are some pics that show conditions.
