Nice TR Hal & good to see you on the trail. We saw some deer at Bullseye too. Peninsular Mule Deer.

I think those are actually Southern Mule Deer since Peninsula
Are primarily in Baja.

With that many deer around, you know mountain lions have to be nearby. They LOVE venison.

I think you are right that those are southern mule deer, but we are part of the peninsular ranges...san jacinto/ santa ana mountains & south to cabo.

There's no much seldom explored terrain back there. I'd love to pack in a spend a week sometime. I hate having to be out by 5. What a pain.

Surprisingly, I didn't see a single cow or Cowpie.
