Nice Little Hike on Sheep Mountain

Went on a little exploratory hike on Sheep Mountain, south of La Quinta.

Nice TR Hal. Congratulations on the back & toe getting better. I injured my back last summer and it is affecting my ability to go longer distances so I feel your pain (literally).

That looks like a respectable conditioning hike with 4,000 feet elevation gain in 6.2 miles. Is this the hike you did?

We actually went more to the north and west, a couple miles further but somewhat in that area. It's a great area and even on the trail you never see a soul. I may go back again but as an overnighter. I'd like more time to look around.
