11/23/11 skyline conditions

Awesome day! Perfect weather. The traverse is in good shape. Not too icy. We brought axes and crampons thinking it would be an ice sheet but that was not the case. The traverse has about 3 inches of fresh snow over a relatively stable snow pack. The switchbacks are still visible. Micro spikes and poles would be fine in my opinion for a few more days then it will probably start getting icy again.

DISCLAIMER-Obviously this opinion can't be relied on and you could still die if you screw up or because mother nature is having a bad day.
