Wildflowers in the San Jacintos

On Wednesday my daughter Alison and I trekked to San J Peak by way of Devil's Slide Trail. Although the air quality and view was a little dissappointing due to a fire in northern San Diego County , the wildflowers were spectacular

When we got to the peak, there was a gentleman on a three day overnighter. Then we were joined by a group of young men who came up the Marion Mountain Trail and were celebrating with Foster's. Then came a pair of guys who just completed C2C! It turns out it was Crazy Legs (one of our newest board members) and his friend.

My son and I hiked to Strawberry Cienega Friday just cause I have never seen a Cienega before. Was amazed at all the colors still around too.

Thank you, madmxe. That was a lot of pics between the two of us. I editted out about 100 of 'em!

I hope to do Strawberry Cienega soon while the flowers are still good.
