Saw someone carrying a bear canister down Devil's Slide on Sunday. My daughter and I just shrugged at each other.

No need for a bear canister, but I do recommend a beer canister.

Also, I think we should do away with all those old fashioned Summit Registers and replace them with something of real value to a hot thirsty hiker . . . install a beer tap and call 'em Summit Kegisters? I'm just sayin...
