Trail Conditions above Idyllwild?

I'm planning on hiking Saturday, April 30, up Deer Springs to Strawberry Junction, up and across the Strawberry Cienega, then down to Saddle Junction and Devil's Slide to Humber Park. In the 8000' to 9000' range is there much snow and ice still? If so, are microspikes and poles adequate? Thanks.

I was up there last week and did not need my spikes although I did bring them. There were plenty of snow patches, but nothing heavy. Trekking poles came in handy.
