backpacking San Jacinto

Postby Catalyst81 » Mon Apr 25, 2011 10:16 pm

I've always day hiked San Jacinto. I'm planning on taking my younger siblings out for an overnighter and I was hoping for some good overnight backpacking route suggestions. Are you required to camp in the designated campgrounds? Also, I'm hoping to go late June. Will the snow be gone by then?

It is my understanding that camping is only allowed in designated spots. And by late June all snow should be gone from trail areas (some snow might linger on the north face, but there are no trails there).

Howdy Sam :)

What -- there are no trails up the North face of San Jacinto? I thought for sure that you, Lilbitmo and the Dynamic Duo had broken in some new trails
